Who Powers Ecuador's Green Revolution? SUNDTA Delivers 400kW Solar Mega-Project!

Sep 17, 2025

GUAYAQUIL, ECUADOR – In a significant step toward bolstering renewable energy infrastructure in South America, SUNDTA has announced the successful delivery and the commencement of construction for a major 400kW photovoltaic energy storage project for a customer in Ecuador. The order, comprising forty individual 10kW systems, represents a robust and flexible solution designed to provide reliable, clean energy.

The comprehensive system is engineered entirely with SUNDTA’s high-performance moduels, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. The core of each system utilizes the versatile 100/43pcs SUNDTA 3kW/10kW split-phase inverters, known for their efficiency and reliability in managing both solar generation and battery storage system. The project is powered by an impressive array of 1,400 units of SUNDTA’s advanced 600W N-type solar panels, which offer superior efficiency and durability to maximize energy harvest in the region's climate.

For energy storage, the system features a hybrid battery configuration designed for resilience and longevity. It includes 80 units of advanced 51.2V 300Ah vertical high-voltage lithium-ion batteries, offering high energy density, a long cycle life, and rapid charging capabilities. Complementing these are 400 units of reliable 12V 100Ah lead-acid batteries, providing a cost-effective and stable storage solution. The entire operation is monitored and managed by several SUNDTA electricity meters, ensuring precise control and data analysis.

This project underscores SUNDTA’s commitment to providing a complete, one-stop service for its clients. From initial design and technical configuration to supply and ongoing support, SUNDTA manages every aspect of the project, ensuring a system that is perfectly tailored to the customer’s specific energy needs and local conditions. By utilizing a full suite of SUNDTA products, the company guarantees compatibility, simplifies maintenance, and delivers a turnkey solution of the highest quality.

A key strength of SUNDTA’s offering is its open compatibility. While this project proudly showcases a fully integrated SUNDTA system, the company maintains strong partnerships with numerous other leading manufacturers in the industry, including Jinko Solar, Trina Solar, Deye, Solis, and Atess. This collaborative ecosystem ensures that SUNDTA can design the optimal system for any requirement. Furthermore, SUNDTA’s own lithium and lead-acid batteries are engineered to be universally compatible with a wide range of leading energy storage inverters, providing customers with unparalleled flexibility and choice.

The successful deployment of this 400kW system in Ecuador is a testament to SUNDTA’s growing international presence and its capability to execute complex renewable energy projects across the globe. The system is expected to significantly reduce the customer's reliance on the traditional grid, lower energy costs, and provide critical backup power, all while contributing to a reduction in carbon emissions.

“We are thrilled to see this project move into the construction phase,” said department director Wink Zhang for SUNDTA. “It exemplifies our mission to deliver customized, high-quality, and efficient renewable energy solutions worldwide. Ecuador has immense solar potential, and we are proud to help harness this clean energy with our reliable technology and expert engineering support.”

The project is currently on schedule and is expected to be fully operational in the coming months, setting a new benchmark for commercial and industrial photovoltaic energy storage solutions in the region.
